Runway Update [Oct 10th 2023]

Today RunwayML Team excited to share a number of small updates that aim to improve controllability, expressiveness and organization across our suite of generative tools. While this list isn’t exhaustive, we hope you find it helpful for navigating these improvements.

Advanced Extend Options
- Now, inside Gen-2 Director Mode you can change your camera and motion parameters between generation extensions.
Extend from Asset
- You can now also Extend from existing Gen-2 assets that you’ve previously generated.
Gen-2 History Sidebar
- Enjoy simpler navigation with the new Gen-2 History Sidebar. Quickly and easily scroll through your session without needing to lose your place in the main generation thread.
Generative Image Improvements]
- Dev team updated generative image model to provide much higher fidelity outputs and new presets styles. You can enjoy these improvements in Text to Image, Image to Image, Infinite Image and Erase and Replace. Be sure to try experimenting with these updated tools within your Gen-2 Image to Video workflow for more control and expressiveness.

In addition, the Team released an update for both text to video and image to video generation with Gen-2, bringing major improvements to both the fidelity and consistency of video results.
